Remember in January when I said I was going to write a blog post every week or something? Well here we are lol.

The last few months have been a whirlwind, mostly due to my move from Illinois to South Carolina. This move had been in the works for a while but it wasn’t until like March that we knew SC was going to be our new home. As you can probably imagine between packing and cleaning and organizing and moving and more cleaning and unpacking and organizing….life’s been a little nuts. But dang, I am so thankful for my parents following the Lord’s lead and moving us here. The fruit I’ve seen in my family in the past month has been incredible. We’ve all come together to renovate our new home in a way that makes my heart so happy. It has definitely been a process of being okay with not having my own space (I mean hey, that’s great practice for the Race haha) since we are redoing all the bedrooms.

Isn’t it so cool that even when we can’t see what the Lord is doing in difficult seasons he is always moving? As I think back on last year and the utter disappointment I felt saying no to the Race for another whole year I know that in the moment I couldn’t see the bigger picture of how God was going to use me following His lead for good. Flash forward to now and I am really thankful I chose to listen to the Lord and delay my Race by a year. This way, I was able to be a part of the moving process with my family. I’ve also really grown and matured in the last year in ways that I think will be really beneficial on the Race. Even in seasons of disappointment it is so important to leave space for the Lord to work.

I am really connecting with the church here! I’ve started attending the young adults group and wow, that has been so, so good. I already feel really connected, seen, and loved. The next few months preparing for the Race are going to be filled with discipleship and growth beyond what I could have imagined! I feel like I’m connecting with the Father on a totally new level too. I’ve seen more visions and felt His presence more in the last month than I’ve seen in my entire life.

Another fun thing about moving to SC is now I’m only a little over 2 hours away from Gainesville so I can drive to the AIM campus instead of flying. I’ll be driving down with my whole fam next week for Boot Camp 🙂

One last thing, I got a job! I had originally planned to not work this summer and just spend time reconnecting with my family and having a rest period but I really missed working (not too mention that I would like to have more savings for emergencies that might arise on the Race) so like any good Christian Homeschooler I applied at my local CFA. Not only did I get the job, I am also making $1.50 more per hour than I was at the CFA in IL which is a big deal since cost of living here is way lower. That was totally God and completely unexpected! So far I am really loving working at this store and the Lord is really redeeming the negative part of my previous job at the CFA in IL which has just been so good for my heart.

Did I mention that there’s only 7 MORE DAYS TILL BOOT CAMP!!!! Didn’t think I could get any more excited but here I am freaking out every time I think about it. This whole journey has been 2 years in the making and I am SO ready.

One response to “A Season of Change”

  1. It’s awesome to see God working so much on your heart. He never lets us down. He never guides us somewhere and not provide what we need. Keep your eyes on the prize!!
